Most fascia is made from wood and most rain gutters are made from metal. The two do not work well together, especially in constantly changing weather environments. The only solution is to separate the two so airflow can prevent the problems; introducing the Air-Bracket!
AIR-BRA[KET Patented one-piece gutter bracket solves rain gutter installation issues.
Metal gutters attached to wood fascia creates condensation, which eventually softens/rots the wood, and for the last 100+ years, gutters have been rigidly attached to wooden fascia boards. NO MORE!
The AIR-BRA[KET supports the gutters AWAY from the fascia board, allowing the fascia to remain dry with constant airflow. In addition, there are NO HOLES puncturing the gutter system. In contrast to the old, outdated method, which requires gutters to be rigidly attached snug against the facia board using screws, nails, or spikes, which are installed every two feet directly through the rain gutters approximately one inch below the water line and INSIDE the gutter. This outdated method allows water to wick through the screw holes, resulting in sagging gutters and fascia rot; in addition, water can wick-up the rafter tails into the attic creating black mold conditions, rafter tail rot, gutters not working properly, soffit problems, and foundational issues. Properly draining rain gutters is that important!

RAIN GUTTER REINFORCEMENT BRACKET
Metal to Wood creates a problem.
Gutters are for one thing, to move water away from the structure, and all K-style gutters are installed with screws or spikes, which are drilled or driven directly through the gutter system about every two feet, which averages sixty holes in the average gutter system.
Here’s the problems:
First, gutters are for moving water away from the building and should never have a screw, spike, or any kind of hole. The hole in the gutter is created when attaching the current popular gutter bracket, which is installed by a screw or spike driven into the back of the gutter and always below the water line, which will obviously wick water through the screw/spike holes and cause water damage to the fascia board. In addition,
Second, conventional gutters are installed snug up against the fascia, which creates condensation, and combined with a screw or spike hole every two feet, creates an even more damp environment, because water is leaking through the screw or spike holes when it rains, and during the dry times, (hot or cold) condensation is continuously present and will eventually rot the fascia board. What good are Lifetime Warrantied Gutters if the fascia will eventually rot.
Third, and the biggest problem is Thermal Expansion. Gutters are installed by screws or spikes driven directly through the aluminum gutters and into the fascia board, holding the gutters tight against the wood. The aluminum gutters are always expanding and contracting with temperature changes and the fascia’s wooden structure does not experience the phenomenon known as, Thermal Expansion in the same way.
Wooden structures expand and contract also, but at a lesser value than metal, which further compounds the issues. The screw/spike installation combined with the aluminum gutters expanding and contracting with the wood remaining relatively rigid, cause the gutter supports to loosen, which leads to sagging, becoming weaker, eventually falling out of pitch, which only exponentiates the damage and within a few years the gutters need repair. And there is usually some fascia rot that needs replaced. Until AIR-BRA[KET, this problem was unavoidable.
Gutters attached rigidly to fascia cause moist/soft wood and will not support the gutters over time.
This method creates holes in the gutters allowing water to wick behind gutters and accelerating the rotting of the fascia boards, damaging the soffit, allowing water to wick-up rafters tails causing roof damage, black mold and more. Air-Bracket also eliminates the effects of "thermal-expansion" and increases the gutter's weight-bearing load by more than 500%.
Gutters are for moving heavy water and are always in motion; from winds, rains, animals, even humans. Gutters that are rigidly attached to wood fascia boards have an additional issue with constant condensation, which is the precursor for rotting fascia, which is the first step in sagging gutters working incorrectly.
Gutters supported by the Air-Bracket Hidden Hanger System, are guaranteed to eliminate the effects of thermal-expansion, which is the main cause of fascia rot.
Gutters are attached by crimping the gutter and Air-Bracket together; eliminating the need to penetrate the back of the gutter with a screw, nail or spike. The crimping method also increases the gutter strength by more than 500%.
The Air-bracket is also much stronger than any current bracket. The crimping method melds the metals together without making holes, and most importantly, two crimps are 500% stronger than one screw.
Easy installation. Gutter installers want something easy (or easier) to install than their current method. If new technology raises the installation cost, or if the crew takes longer to install gutters because of complexity or extra steps, then the new technology will not be accepted quickly by the thousands of small gutter companies making the installs. Crimping gutters is much easier than drilling through the metal gutters.
The Air-bracket's design allows optimal support for every gutter guard installation. LeafFilter Demonstration.
The Air-Bracket will eventually be required on all new homes with wooden fascia boards, which most homes have wood fascia.
Most homeowners have accepted the fact that the fascia boards will eventually rot, because the metal gutters will ensure condensation is always present, which will maintain the moisture level needed to eventually rot the fascia. And everyone knows that gutters are an essential part of our home's defense system. It's a catch-22; but no more! The Air-Bracket solves these issues.
Any fascia wood rot that happens over time is not covered under any homeowner's insurance policy. The reason this is excluded is because it's considered a maintenance issue and is the homeowner's responsibility to insure these areas remain dry and not susceptible to moist conditions, which we all know thermal expansion makes this impossible.
The Air-Bracket solves these issues and eventually, insurance companies nationwide will require the Air-Bracket on all new residential construction; approximately 95 million brackets annually. Another 200 million reinforcement brackets are required annually to repair existing home gutter systems.
*95 million annual brackets is calculated using the 2022 new home construction of 1.56 million new residential homes, using an average of sixty Air-brackets per new construction. New home construction makes up approximately 30% of new gutter sales, with approximately 70% for remodeling or replacing current gutter systems.
